Delivery Days and Times

At Bituin, we offer flower delivery across Melbourne from Tuesday to Friday. We provide two primary delivery time slots: early (10 am to 2 pm) and late (2 pm to 5 pm). Additionally, we now offer 'after work' deliveries (5 pm to 8 pm) throughout the week. The availability of the 'after work' time slot can be seen and selected on the cart page during the checkout process. Our delivery schedules consider circumstances such as heavy traffic or extreme weather to ensure timely deliveries.

Can I arrange a specific time for delivery?

While we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time for online orders, we ensure that your flowers will be delivered on the day and within your selected time range. If you have a specific time request, please email us with your order number and query. We will make every effort to accommodate your request. If you require a specific delivery time and have not yet placed your order, emailing us to arrange the flowers will not only help fulfil your request but also allow for a more bespoke and personalised order.

For any inquiries or to arrange specific delivery times, please reach us at hello@bituin.com.au.

What happens if the recipient isn't there when you deliver?

Residential Addresses
If the recipient is not home, our courier will use sensible discretion to find a safe place to leave the flowers. You will receive a text message with an image of the delivered flowers if a contact number has been provided. If there is no safe place to leave the flowers, we will attempt to contact you or the recipient for further instructions. Should redelivery or redirection be necessary, a redelivery fee equivalent to the standard delivery charge for the suburb may apply. We will confirm this with you beforehand.

Business/Hospital Addresses

At business or hospital addresses, our courier will leave the flowers with reception, the mailroom, or a co-worker, if accepted and unless specific delivery instructions are provided. If it is determined that the recipient won't return or be at the delivery location that day, we'll attempt to contact you to arrange an alternative solution. If redelivery or redirection is necessary, a redelivery fee equal to the standard delivery charge for the suburb may apply.

How we incorporate sustainability into our daily deliveries

At Bituin, a sustainable wedding and event florist in Melbourne, we integrate sustainability into every aspect of our operations, including daily flower deliveries. Recognizing the unavoidable impact of delivery vehicles, we reduce our carbon footprint by offsetting emissions through Greenfleet, Australia's trusted source of biodiverse carbon offsets. Each delivery supports the restoration of Australian and New Zealand forests, helping reduce environmental impact and restore ecosystems. We are committed to continuing this practice while exploring additional ways to achieve a net positive impact.

Moreover, we use only seasonal flowers and package our deliveries in materials that can be diverted from landfills. Our add-on gifts support other Australian businesses, further promoting sustainability within the community. By choosing Bituin, you receive beautiful, bespoke floral arrangements and support a sustainable Melbourne florist dedicated to making a positive environmental impact.

Care Instructions

Congratulations on your wonderful flower delivery from Bituin! You might be wondering, "How can I ensure these flowers stay beautiful for as long as possible?" Well, you've come to the right place.

Just like humans, flowers have their unique needs for survival and flourishing. We understand that you might not have the time or patience to tend to each blossom individually. That's why we've put together this user-friendly guide to help you care for your fresh flower bouquet, maximising their vase life and your enjoyment.

There’s no need to commit this guide to memory – we always include a condensed version of these instructions with each flower delivery across Melbourne!

If you have any other questions about flower care, feel free to contact us anytime.

Sustainable Packaging and Disposal

Receiving flowers is always a delight, and part of that joy comes from the beautiful and aesthetically pleasing packaging. However, it can be a struggle figuring out how to dispose of all the packaging in the most sustainable way possible, with so many options like recycling, general waste, and composting.

Here at Bituin, we've made it easy for you. We've created a simple guide on how to responsibly dispose of each component of our flower packaging. The best part? Every Bituin wrapping item is plastic-free, and we're committed to keeping them out of landfills. This is a crucial part of our efforts to make a positive impact on sustainability and our community across Melbourne.

We've categorised how to dispose of each component based on the bins you can place them in. Additionally, we've included information about our environmentally friendly sourcing practices. Please note that this guide is general in nature, and there may be specific instructions or requirements from your local council.

You or the recipient won’t need to memorise this information – we always include an abbreviated version of these instructions on tags made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper.

After disposing the wrapping of the flowers, check out our guide on how to care for the flowers!
