How do I start planning my wedding flowers?
If you have a vision, a wedding date, and a wedding venue head to our enquiry form page to enquire about your wedding flowers:
If you're feeling unsure and not quite sure where to start, simply send us an email at events@bituin.com.au. Let us know your wedding date and venue and that you're unsure where to begin. Be sure to check out our helpful tips and guide on planning your wedding vision.
If we're available on your date, we'll work closely with you to discuss your wedding and help you explore the perfect floral options for your special day. You've got this, and if you ever need assistance, we've got your back.
What does the process look like if we want to work with you?
To get started with us, simply fill in our easy enquiry form. Share essential details like contact information, wedding date, venue, and budget. If we're available, we'll send you a comprehensive questionnaire to understand your requirements better. If needed, we can have a consultation to talk through the form.
After you submit the questionnaire, we’ll send through an initial proposal with a quote and mood board. If you would love to work with us, we'll share a contract and invoice. Once you pay the 25% deposit, your date is secured!
Throughout your wedding journey, we'll keep in touch. Around 2 months before the big day, we'll have a final run-through to discuss finer details. Then, leave it to us to bring your vision to life on the special day!

Since each wedding is unique, our pricing is tailored to your specific needs. If you choose to work with us, our full wedding flower service has a minimum spend of $2500. The final cost will depend on the amount of flowers required and the complexity of your requirements.
It's important to remember that you're not just purchasing flowers; you're also securing our comprehensive services from the moment you inquire until the day after your wedding. As your trusted floral consultants, we'll be with you every step of the way.
During Bituin's consultation and booking process, we carefully consider your budget while providing a realistic cost for the floral arrangements that perfectly align with your vision.
To give you a rough estimate, here's a pricing guide for different wedding sizes:
- Small weddings / minimal requirements: $2,500 - $5,000
- Medium weddings / full package weddings: $5,000 - $8,000
- Large weddings / an abundance of flowers: $8,000 - $12,000 or more
We also offer an elopement / small wedding package if you're looking for just a bouquet, buttonhole, or centrepiece.
Can you accommodate specific flower requests or allergies?
Of course, we can. We love creating arrangements that hold a special meaning for you and that you'll truly adore.
For specific flowers requests it’s important to note that while we will make every effort to source your requested flowers, we never promise specific flowers as we cannot guarantee their availability on the day. We prioritise working with the natural availability of flowers as part of our commitment to the environment and supporting local businesses. Due to factors such as seasons and recent weather conditions, not all varieties are accessible year-round.
We also understand the importance of accommodating for any allergies you or your loved ones may have. During the consultation process, please let us know about any specific flower allergies, and we will work closely with you to create a floral design that meets your needs while ensuring everyone's comfort.

How far in advance do I need to book my wedding flowers?
When it comes to booking our services for your wedding, there's no strict timeline. Whether you're just starting your planning journey or you're further along, you can reach out to us at any point. However, to ensure we have ample time to plan and prepare for your special day, we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance. If your wedding date is closer than that, don't worry! We may still be able to accommodate you. Enquire now so we can check our availability and discuss how we can help bring your floral vision to life.
Can I make changes to the flowers after I’ve booked them?
Absolutely! We understand that as your wedding day approaches, plans may evolve, and new ideas may arise. We're here to accommodate any changes you'd like to make throughout the planning process. Simply reach out to us, and we'll work closely with you to update your flower requirements and ensure everything aligns with your vision.
It's important to note that if you're considering reducing your total flower order, we can only allow for changes within a 10% limit of the total order 30 days before the wedding, as outlined in our terms and conditions. This allows us to continue providing exceptional service and meet your expectations.

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, and we strive to work with our clients to accommodate any necessary changes. ON THE DAY
Can I keep the flowers after the wedding?
Of course, you can take the flowers home with you - it not only gives them a second life, but it also helps to extend your special day as well as reduce the waste from your wedding!
For flowers on table arrangements, the vessels used by the flowers may be hired from us, so while you can take the flowers, you should advise that guests do not take the vessels or mechanics unless otherwise previously agreed. We do not advise taking flowers from installations at the reception or venue, for example a hanging installation without our help.
You can pre-arrange a post wedding flower wrapping service, where we can safely take apart the flowers and hand them out to your guests at the end of the night - let us know if you would be interested in this!
How do you ensure the freshness and quality of the wedding flowers?
At Bituin, we source cut flowers as close to your wedding day as possible and prioritise locally grown flowers to ensure they are as fresh as possible. This includes collecting flowers from growers and suppliers during the week of your wedding. Once you receive your bridal party flowers, to keep them as fresh as possible, keep the flowers in water and in a cool, shaded area until they are needed. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures for prolonged periods.
How do you practice sustainability? Do you use floral foam?
At Bituin, sustainability is at the core of our floristry practice. We will never use toxic floral foam, as it's neither biodegradable nor recyclable as well as contains harmful elements. Instead, we harness our creativity to employ eco-friendly mechanics that can be composted or reused, reducing our environmental impact.
We take responsibility for all remaining floral waste by composting it, and we actively offset our delivery vehicle emissions through GreenFleet. My wedding is on a hot summer’s day – will my flowers stay alive?
As you may know, cut flowers don’t last long in direct sun or extreme heat. However, there's no need to worry! If your wedding is on a very hot day, we will take all necessary steps to ensure your flowers are still looking fresh and beautiful. Leading up to your event, your blooms will be carefully processed and kept cool in our studio until delivery and setup. With pre-planning, we'll strategically place any installations and arrangements that might be exposed to direct sunlight as close to the ceremony time as possible, ensuring your flowers won't be sitting in the sun for an extended period. Additionally, we'll make sure your flowers are properly hydrated with a water source where needed.

Can we repurpose our flowers for other parts of the wedding?
We're all about creativity and finding ways to repurpose flowers. Arrangements in vases can be easily moved. While certain installations may be too delicate or challenging to move, we're always open to exploring possibilities with you. By discussing your vision and requirements, we can identify opportunities to repurpose flowers throughout your wedding, ensuring a beautiful and cohesive experience. Repurposing flowers not only adds a touch of continuity to your event but also maximizes their value and allows their beauty to shine in different settings.
Do you offer delivery and setup services for wedding flowers in Melbourne?
Yes. As part of our wedding floristry services, we will take care of delivery and set up of your wedding flowers across Melbourne and Victoria. Our team will ensure that your floral arrangements are safely transported to the ceremony and reception venues, and we will handle the setup and placement of the flowers according to your specifications. This allows you to relax and enjoy your day while we take care of all the details.
What happens once our wedding has concluded? Do we have to clean up?
Absolutely not! Once you become newlyweds, you can fully immerse yourselves in the celebration with your friends and family until the very end of the event. You’re welcome to take any of the flowers home. After the event, we'll return to the venue to take down any installations and collect any remaining florals and hired items. This is all included in the labour cost that will be outlined in your quote. We want you to cherish every moment without any stress or worries.
